Pair of flower vases
Period: 17th century
Magnificent pair of light blue majolica flower vases with blue monochrome "wallpaper" decoration, Savona, second half of the 17th century. The mark of the Chiesina or Santuario manufactory is present under the base. A ring-decorated foot supports a globular body acting as the base for the high ribbed neck; the two opposing lateral handles in the shape of intertwined ribbons allow for grip. Both vases are decorated with figures, bushes, and small animals of various sizes in perfect balance. A very rare pair, it is impossible not to be fascinated by them. Dimensions: height 20 cm - foot diameter 8.5 cm
