Splendid pair of electuary vases - SOLD

Splendid pair of pharmaceutical electuary vases in majolica with blue monochrome "tapestry" decoration, Savona, 17th century. Both have an ovoid body, with two handles in the shape of animal protomes protruding from the base of the neck. On the front, in the center, there is a cartouche with the medicamentous inscription of the contents, above which, on the front, there is an heraldic coat of arms identical for both vases. On the back, a small sailing ship and a winged putto are depicted. Under the base of one of the two is the Savona coat of arms mark. Dimensions: height 24 cm
